I took a break from NaNoWriMo today and curled up to a good movie. I watched
The Help and cried and laughed right along with the characters. It surprised me how much I loved the movie. I loved the simple, stark impact that the moral held. I loved the quotable passages and the connection that I felt with each one of the characters. I even loved the unquiet of the ending. No happily ever after promised, but a courage to take on a new future.
I also loved the last line of the movie...
My boy... always said we gonna to have a writer in the family some day. I guess it's gonna be me.
Do you ever feel that way? I do. Now I must get back to my writing... to move forward with courage into a new future.
