Jack slowed his car to a stop in the middle of the deserted street, and turned to her. "Are you leaving because of me?"Kira’s heart beat faster. Tiny prickles of awareness that skittered down her arms, and she felt the desire to reach out and touch Jack’s face… Just to know without a doubt that this was not a dream. She tamped down the need, and looked at the empty street ahead of the car. "Jack, move the car. We are in the middle of the street."
"Answer me."
